Philip Kaufman (US, 1993, 129 min.)

In this adaptation of the Michael Crichton novel, Wesley Snipes and Sean Connery play detectives investigating the murder of a call girl at the American office of a Japanese corporation. Looking through the girl's apartment, Lt. Web Smith (Snipes) finds some photographs, including a photostrip, in a drawer. Proving that the murdered girl was more than an acquaintance of Eddie Sakamura, a powerful man in the corporation, the photostrip is a key piece of evidence in the investigation.
