PHOTOBOOTHS IN MOVIES & TV

Banzaï

Claude Zidi (France, 1983, 102 min.)

Isabelle (Valérie Mairesse) and Marie (Helene Zidi) go into a photobooth and take a strip of photos, then rush off before the strip is delivered. Shortly thereafter, Michel (played by Coluche, a French comic notorious for his pioneering use of profanities for comedic effect on French TV) goes in, takes a strip, and then is surprised to see the women's strip arrive in the drying slot shortly after he's done. He takes the strip and leaves, at which point Isabelle returns and finds his photos. Later, they share their confusion on the phone, each holding the other's strip.
