PHOTOBOOTHS IN MOVIES & TV

Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Amy Heckerling (USA, 1982, 92 min.)

Cameron Crowe's first screenplay based on his covert research done pretending to be a high school student. The result is a funny and realistic (if not at times unsettling) look at early 80s high school culture. Great soundtrack, and the unforgettable Jeff Spicoli. This movie helped launch the careers of Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Phoebe Cates, and Judge Reinhold.

Moment in which Stacy tries (unsuccessfully) to seduce Rat. She uses the old "wanna see some pictures in my photo album?" line, and we are treated to a quick glimpse of a photostrip. Neither person in the strip looks particularly like Jennifer Jason Leigh, however.
