PHOTOBOOTHS IN MOVIES & TV

Scorpio

Michael Winner (U.S., 1973, 114 min.)

Soviet agent Sergei Zharkov (Paul Scofield) and his old friend, the American Cross (Burt Lancaster), set up the Soviet handler Malkin (Sandor Elès) by having Cross be photographed handing him papers, thus making it look like Cross is on the Soviets' payroll. All this plot is irrelevant, though; behind Scofield in the Wien Hauptbahnhof is a photobooth with a PHOTOS illuminated sign atop it.
