Photoautomat Project

Taosuz. (2013)

Tao and Suz in Berlin, who together make up Taosuz., have created large photobooth-style posters that are displayed on the street.

"We have made this street art photoautomat project, which uses photos of icons or celebrities, merged using computer software. The photobooth strips of two antagonists are used as a means of expression to enhance people's awareness about a specific subject, a historical event, a critique of consumerism or a diktat. Thus we find Ronald McDonald and a starving child, Karl Lagerfeld and Isabelle Caro (who died of anorexia), or Marilyn Manson and Pope Benedict XVI."
