This color Model 21 booth is nicely enclosed between the vending machine (Willie Nelson cds, cigarettes, condoms, Britney Spears stickers, chocolate) and the bathroom at this relatively recent addition to the Silver Lake scene. The Lounge opened in 2005, the younger sibling of the venerable Cha Cha in Seattle. The booth is a remarkable $2 a pop, a bargain for sure these days, and perhaps it was just the darkness in the rest of the bar, but the flash seemed like it was about the brightest photobooth flash I'd ever experienced. And in case you forgot where you took the snaps, the name of the bar appears between each photo, like magic. The night we were there, Frankenstein's monster joined us in the booth.

UPDATE 6/30/16: Andrew reports that as of his visit in June, 2016, this booth is still working.

UPDATE 8/13/22: Louise reports that the booth is still going strong. The text in between now reads "THE CHA CHA," rather than "Cha-Cha Lounge."

UPDATE 10/31/22: Louise informed us that this booth is now running as a BW machine, due to the difficulty in sourcing color chemicals.

UPDATE 8/29/23: Ashley visited and reports "Up and running, was slightly out of focus when I used it, $4 cash or card."
