ART AND THE PHOTOBOOTH

From his website:

I began exploring the photobooth as artistic medium in college. I would fill my pockets with quarters, board the Bonanza bus, and make the hour trek to Back Bay Station in Boston. The Children's Museum, just a few blocks from the bus station, had two photobooths in the lobby. I was fortunate to get a few months of use out of the Black and White booth before being banned from the museum.

Undaunted, and perhaps more determined as a result of my expulsion, I continue to use the photobooth as my primary photograhic medium.

Everyone is familiar with the booth's iconic output: a vertical strip of four headshots. Most people have some experience in a photobooth. I am interested in using this familiar format to create images that are unfamiliar.
