Ole writes that "This is the last analog b/w photobooth left in Switzerland. Built in the '60s, this model was actually made in Zürich. The machine makes four wonderful 5 by 5 cm photos in a horizontal line." The booth is in operation between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. every day. | |
UPDATE 8/10/19: In the years since we first added this booth to our directory, we're happy to say that more analog booths have found homes in Zürich (and in Lausanne), so this was no longer the only booth in the country. But after many years serving photobooth lovers in Zürich outside the home of its inventor, Martin Balke, this machine has been removed, to hopefully live another day in another location, now that Martin has moved from his home. I visited the booth (and Martin) in 2012 and again in 2019, just a few months before it was removed, and felt that it took perhaps the best photobooth photos I'd ever seen. Contributed by Ole, Brian |
