Excalibur, a giant castle-like dance club in the middle of downtown Chicago, seems to have a little bit of everything: techno, house, top 40, pool tables, test-tube shots, video games, and, when I was there, the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Swimsuit Competition on dozens of screens in the basement.

The woman at the door was kind enough to let me in without the cover charge by holding onto my driver's license while I popped downstairs. The photobooth was next to a full-size snack vending machine full of cigarettes. Chicago has apparently not gone the way of the smoking ban yet... The photobooth, a color Model 21GB produced very crisp photos, though the first photo featured a strange pink-tinted section over my head. Spooky.

UPDATE 9/8/09: Anthony reports that this photobooth is no longer located at Excalibur.
