This booth (a Model 14 flattop) has a storied past, whose origins prior to 2005 are unknown. In 2005 this photobooth shell (it was an empty cabinet) was purchased from Photo-Me in Grand Prairie, TX and transported to St. Louis. In St. Louis, it was filled with digital innards and used for photobooth rentals and an occasional art installation. In 2023, it was sold to Autophoto whose headquarters were in Boise, ID. When Autophoto relocated to Connecticut, the booth followed, and in the ensuing year and a half, the team at Autophoto retro-retro-fitted it with analog innards. It re-debuted as a working analog booth at the 2025 International Photobooth Convention in New York City.
