I set out to find the Barbary on a cold November night, and after stumbling over a torn-up side street under a highway overpass past half a dozen pieces of giant machinery, I found the place. Inside were five or six guys watching an episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" playing off a laptop, projected onto a brick wall. Perfect.

The booth was in excellent working order, and I took a strip of photos inside. I did my standard patdown of the top of the machine and came across the strip seen here, abandoned after a night of carousing, no doubt. The strip I took never made it back from Philadelphia, so I'm glad I held onto this found photo.

UPDATE 11/6/24: Hannah has let us know that the Barbary "closed for renovations during the pandemic with promises to reopen but have yet to announce. According to Philadelphia clubbing subreddits no one has new intel when The Barbary (or its booth) will return."
