I sauntered in this restaurant at around 2:30 in the afternoon and was immediately struck by its funky decor and lively atmosphere -- a perfect spot for a photobooth. There weren't many people in the joint, save the folks gathered around a table in what looked to be a staff meeting. As I walked toward the booth with my disposable camera, their white-aproned leader spoke: "Can I help you?!?" (as if to say "what the hell are you doing in my restaurant?") I answered with a simple (and probably entitled) "no." (as if to say, "listen buddy, is this place open or not? If so, then excuse me while I play in the photobooth") Then much to my chagrin, I saw the "photobooth broken" sign. Bummer. Nice venue. Less than nice staff (at least while they are meeting).

This restaurant is only a few blocks from the Spaghetti Warehouse where you will find another photobooth.

UPDATE 3/28/08: Ricky has sent in a sample photo from his recent visit; the photobooth at El Vez is alive and well.

UPDATE 2/26/22: Nikki reports that the booth at El Vez was still going strong in the winter of 2022.

UPDATE 12/27/24: Thanks to Angel for the update on this booth, still going strong and "recently repaired."
