THE PHOTOBOOTH BLOG

pb_for_sale.jpgA classic photobooth that looks like it’s about to be overrun with flora and Christmas kitsch is being put up for auction on eBay.

The booth, currently located in Gillette, Wyoming, is described as having “rounded corners” and “all 3 curtains,” and, what’s more, it’s said to be (in classic eBayspeak) “a GREAT buy and A EVEN BETTER COLLECTORS ITEM!”

A dozen photos show the details of the booth, which is in indeterminate condition; it looks like it’s mostly all there, but who knows how close it is to actually working. Maybe Tim can lend his expert eye to the case.

Last week, a photobooth from neighboring Nebraska was sold on eBay as well.

Yeah, I have been keeping my eye on this one — based on the pictures it is FAR from working condition. Unless there are some hidden boxes of parts underneath the snowman yard ornament, it is missing a lot of the integral machinery.

It is beautiful, though. I haven’t seen one like it before. The dimentions (8’L x 4’W x 7’H) seem out of line to me — most photobooths I have seen are one foot smaller in each of those dimensions. Hmmmm. A homebrew perhaps? Or possibly an earlier model than I have seen before.
